As you may be aware, the telecoms industry announced its intention to retire analogue telephone networks by the end of 2025. To ensure a secure support for our Customers, our alarms come with a mobile network SIM inside. This means, where there is good mobile signal, it does not need to be connected to a landline telephone or broadband to work. Your alarm will be futureproof and will not require replacement following the analogue to digital switchover.

Your base alarm will come with a back-up battery which means if the plug supporting your alarm is switched off for any reason, your alarm will continue to work on the back-up battery. An alert will also be sent to our operational system so we can contact you to let you know your alarm is running on the back-up

In short- yes! When you choose to get your personal alarm, we will ask you to provide us with information relating to relevant medical information and history. We can turn up the volume of your base unit for you or call your telephone if you prefer this way of communication. There is also Bluetooth capabilities for your alarm unit meaning you may be able to connect separate speaker devices to your alarm to put in another area of your home. Ultimately, whether you can hear us or not, we will always get you help arranged.

Our Operators are not able to initiate a call through your alarm device. Your alarm can only be activated if you press the pendant or base alarm unit. If one of our Operators wanted to follow up with you relating to a previous call, they will call you via the telephone number provided to us on your Customer information form.
